A University of Missouri football player remains hospitalized in serious condition after being injured in a car accident.

Harold Brantley, a defensive lineman, was injured in a crash in Columbia Sunday afternoon. The University of Missouri Hospital said Brantley was in serious condition Monday but could not provide details of his injuries.

Madeleine Stock, a Missouri women's basketball player who was in the car, was treated for minor injuries and released.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Brantley overcorrected after driving off the left side of U.S. 63. The car then slid off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned. The patrol says Brantley and Stock weren't wearing seatbelts.
