NASCAR Announces Return
The first sport to return to competition will be NASCAR. The racing organization announced today that they will begin competitions May 17 with a Cup Series event at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. NASCAR has announced it will hold seven events in May, four cup series, two Xfinity series and one Gander Trucks series race.
The events will be held without fans but will be televised on the FOX. Each team will consist of 16 members, this includes the owner, driver, pit crew and hauler driver. Those who are on the infield of the track will be required to wear a mask.
It is a small step and the sport will be different than we are used to, but getting sports back on tv is something we can all get behind.
