Week two has flown by, and the season is truly underway. Great games and some underwhelming performances. Lets see how the Bama players that were poised to make a splash actually did.

Eagles - 20 at Chiefs - 17:

Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - Another great showing against the prize team of the NFL. A rematch from the super bowl that was worth watching. More of a defensive game in this one though, Hurts played well not giving up any turnovers. He threw well but not for much, as it was his legs again that got the job done as his only score game on the ground. The Eagles look like they are the team to beat again this season showing they can win with their offense in game one, and defense here in game two.

DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - He was the chain mover in this one. Four catches for 53 yards. Another modest outing for Smitty, but one that he was able to make a difference in. The Eagles face tough secondaries in their next three matchups so it could be a slow start in the passing game for this offense and Smith.

Browns - 17 at Ravens - 41:

Derrick Henry (Ravens) - The Ravens did not have to call on their main back much in this one as they got the lead early and did not look back. The Browns defense also held the run game for the ravens pretty well. Henry only saw 11 carries with 23 yards. A quiet day for him for sure, but one in which it didn't matter.

Jerry Jeudy (Browns) - A tough loss for the Browns as they never were able to get their offense truly going. Jeudy saw eight targets, catching four of them for 51 yards. Flacco is definitely the best passer on this Browns roster but with the tough defense of the Ravens, he was not able to get it going.

Patriots - 33 at Dolphins 27:

Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) - A good bounce back from week one for the star qb, but came up short. He tossed the rock for 315 yards completing 81% of his passes with two touchdowns and an interception. A tough loss in the division here and now an 0-2 start to the season. Despite playing well it still was not enough for the Dolphins to get a win. Their defense is clearly holding them back.

Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) - Five catches, 68 yards, and a touchdown. A great outing for Waddle, and if he is in your fantasy lineup he seems to be touchdown dependent for efficient production, especially with Hill seemingly stepping back up as a target sucker. A great outing from Waddle and the next matchup for the Dolphins is another tough divisional game on Thursday against the Bills.

Player of the week:

Jameson Williams (Lions) - What a day this offense had scoring 52 points. Yes it was against the Bears, but 52 points in the league is quite a feat. Williams was a monster over the top in this matchup. Catching two balls for 108 yards and a touchdown. 54 yards per catch. I think that says enough for him.

Check back Thursday for the week three outlook as there are some really great matchups.
