Nick Saban Provides Health Update On Eli Ricks After Ole Miss Game
Alabama cornerback Eli Ricks appeared to suffer an early injury in Saturday's game at Ole Miss.
Ricks, starting his third consecutive game, went down on the first play and never re-entered. Ricks was replaced by Terrion Arnold, the initial starter of the season.
During the postgame press conference, Alabama football head coach Nick Saban gave an update on Ricks.
"Well Eli Ricks is okay, I think his head is the issue, so we haven't been able to test him from a concussion protocol standpoint as of yet, but I saw him in the locker room, he's okay."
The LSU transfer notably stepped up in Alabama's game against Mississippi State on Oct. 22, recording two tackles and a team-high tying four pass break ups. Ricks only picked up one tackle against his former team in Death Valley.
Alabama went on to defeat the Rebels 30-24 inside of Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium, without the help of the star cornerback.
