Nick Saban Retirement Salary Revealed
The details of Nick Saban's post-retirement salary with the University of Alabama athletics department has been revealed thanks to multiple reports.
While all the details about coach Saban's post-retirement financials have been murky, some of the details began to surface on Thursday.
According to Nick Kelly of the Tuscaloosa News, Nick Saban will earn $500,000 in his new advisory role at the University of Alabama.
More specifically, Coach Saban will earn $500,000.04 from his new salary with the University.
In a report by Michael Casagrande of AL.com, Saban's post-retirement salary is actually more than his salary when serving as the head coach of the Crimson Tide. His annual salary was $305,000 last year, with "talent fees" and bonuses pushing his salary to the multi-millions.
Casagrande also reports that Saban's last big paycheck with the university hit on Feb. 29, when Alabama paid Saban $858,716. It was more than Saban's replacement made when Kalen DeBoer was paid $834,978 on Feb. 29 after his first full month as the head coach of the Crimson Tide.
