On Tuesday night, Nick Saban won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality and Emerging On-Air Talent.

Saban won the award for his weekly appearance on ESPN's College Gameday, which travels across the country to the biggest college football game of the week to capture the environments of college atmospheres.

2024 was Saban's first regular appearances on College Gameday after he retired as the head coach at Alabama in January 2024. Saban took the college football world by storm, laughing with Pat McAfee every Saturday and breaking down game tape at a level that is unchallenged regarding Saban's history as a college football head coach.

Saban will return to College Gameday in 2025, joining Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, and Kirk Herbstreit once again every Saturday morning. Saban will also sit alongside Lee Corso for Corso's final College Gameday show, taking place in week one of the 2025 season.

During his tenure at Alabama, Saban won 201 college football games, won the SEC West 10 times, won the SEC nine times, and claimed six national championships across his 17-year tenure in Tuscaloosa. Saban also produced 47 Consensus All-Americans and accumulated a bowl record of 16-7.

Saban only lost in the first round of the College Football Playoff twice. In 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, Saban and the Crimson Tide played for the national championship. Saban went undefeated twice while at Alabama, going 14-0 in 2009 en route to the BCS National Championship. In 2020, Saban went 13-0 en route to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
