TUSCALOOSA, Ala.-- Alabama wide receiver Noah Rogers made his return to the field on Saturday night after suffering a lower-body injury during the Tide's spring game back in April. Rogers made his first appearance for the Tide, catching one pass for 36 yards from quarterback Keelon Russell. Alabama won handily, 49-18. Russell spoke to the media following the win on Saturday when he spoke about Rogers, stating, " You know, Noah Rogers, man, he brings tears to my eyes the way that he battles, the way that he fights. When I saw him down in the spring game, I was just so sad for him, but the way he fought through that whole injury, it's hard coming back eight months and catching the ball and doing what he's doing, I felt extremely proud of him."

OC Ryan Grubb also commented on what it was like to see Noah return to the lineup and make a play

"It was cool. Those are the fun moments. Those are the lucky ones where you use personnel to get Noah in that position. We had pretty high confidence in the coverage structure we'd have in that area of the field, that Noah would have a really good chance to get that football. So we kind of dialed that one up to try to get Noah the ball. They don't always work out like that, but it did that time, and to see him make that play felt really good. I know he was pumped up on the sideline. It was awesome."

Rogers transferred to the Tide from NC State, where he played two seasons, bringing in 68 catches for 919 yards and three touchdowns. Rogers looks to climb his way back up the depth chart as the season progresses.

The Crimson Tide will travel to Starkville, Mississippi, this Saturday to take on the Bulldogs at 11:00 am on ABC.
