Northside Rams Lose Scoreboard Thursday In Strong Storm
As severe thunderstorms engulfed West Alabama on Thursday afternoon one of the areas damaged was Northside Stadium. The Rams' scoreboard was blown down and netting around the stadium was also damaged.
Northside already had plans to replace the scoreboard this offseason as the Rams are putting in a new field for the football team to compete on in the fall according to Northside head coach Chris Hilliker.
"Everybody's safe, all good. We've got some netting down, some awnings around there but it's nothing major right now," said Hilliker.
Losing the scoreboard, ultimately, isn't going to be a loss for the Rams as a new one was already in the plans, however to see it blown over serves as a strong reminder of just how powerful Mother Nature can be.
