PHOTOS: Alabama Football’s Eighth Spring Practice for 2026

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide returned to the Thomas Drew Practice Fields for its eighth spring practice ahead of A-Day on April 11. Monday's practice was the first for the Crimson Tide after Alabama's first spring scrimmage on Friday morning.

Monday's practice photos provide a look at Virginia Tech linebacker transfer Caleb Woodson, who continues to take the reins and compete as a veteran in Alabama's battle for starters at inside linebacker. We also continue to see Crimson Tide quarterbacks Austin Mack and Keelon Russell compete for the starting job in Tuscaloosa.

Monday's practice video, provided by the University of Alabama, featured another look at Mack and Russell competing at quarterback, while giving an extended look at the Tide's trenches. USC transfer defensive lineman Devan Thompkins is a player to watch for with Alabama this season, as he is expected to see significant playing time along the Tide's defensive front.

The Crimson Tide will return to practice on Wednesday, April 1, in preparation for the Tide's annual A-Day scrimmage on April 11.
