Pitching Duel Set for Alabama’s Regional Game Against Miami
According to Alabama baseball coach Rob Vaughn, the Crimson Tide has officially named its starting pitcher for the Tide's opening game of the Hattiesburg regional against the Miami Hurricanes.

Riley Quick, a projected first-round draft pick in the MLB draft, will get the start on the mound for the Crimson Tide. Alabama will open the Hattiesburg Regional against the Miami Hurricanes on Friday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m.
Quick has been the consistent Saturday starter for the Crimson Tide and was named Second-Team All-SEC as Alabama's starting pitcher. MLB Pipeline ranks Quick as the 35th overall prospect in the 2025 MLB draft while totaling 64 strikeouts throughout the season. Quick has an overall record of 8-2 for the Crimson Tide during the 2025 season.
For the Miami Hurricanes, freshman pitcher AJ Ciscar will get the bump in the Hurricanes' initial matchup against the Tide.
