The committee was impressed by the Tide dismantling two-time defending national champ Georgia 27-24 in Atlanta to win the SEC championship Sunday.

Here are the Final Four football teams who will compete for the national championship:

1. Michigan

2. Washington

3. Texas

4. Alabama

Unbeaten FSU and once-beaten Georgia were left out in the final year of the four-team tourney. The field expands to 12 next year.

Alabama is Rose Bowl bound where it will face Michigan in Pasadena. New Orleans and the Sugar Bowl will feature Washington vs. Texas.
