TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide is set to take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers in the Tide's final home game of the (regular) season, with a road trip to Auburn next Saturday set to determine the Tide's fate in the SEC Championship race and potentially College Football Playoff discussions.

While the Tide's players need to operate as if a nameless, faceless opponent is coming to Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama also, realistically, needs to get as close to 100% healthy as possible for the date with Auburn next week and potentially the SEC Championship the week after.

This could result in a new-look roster for Saturday, with Kalen DeBoer doubting Parker Brailsford's status earlier in the week, and knicks and bruises accumulating throughout the season for almost everyone. Who will, and who won't play against Eastern Illinois as the Crimson Tide wraps up its home slate for 2025?

What We Heard Before Saturday

During his weekly appearance on the SEC Teleconference, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer called into doubt Brailsford's status for Saturday, with the Tide's second-year starter at center being spotted in a walking boot earlier in the week. Brailsford did not have a boot on during Alabama's Walk of Champions on Saturday, but did have a limp. Brailsford will not play on Saturday.

What We Heard on Saturday

Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard will not play against Eastern Illinois. In addition, Alabama starting tight end Josh Cuevas suffered an injury during practice this week and will not play on Saturday, according to BamaOnLine's Charlie Potter.
