Former Alabama Defensive Lineman Secures Place in NFL Top 100
The Crimson Tide has landed its second player in the NFL Top 100 from the 2024-25 NFL season, with New York Jets star defensive lineman Quinnen Williams coming in at No. 87. Williams was the No. 37 player in the 2023-24 NFL Top 100.

Williams, a 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive lineman from Birmingham, Alabama, has been a wrecking ball for New York and one of the few stable pieces for the Jets since they drafted him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Williams saw a slight dip in his production during the 2024 NFL season, totaling 37 tackles, eight tackles for loss, six sacks, and 18 quarterback hits. Despite the perceived "bad" season for Williams, he still earned his third Pro Bowl nod in the league.
Throughout his Jets career, Williams has totaled 290 tackles, 52 tackles for loss, 98 QB hits, 39 sacks, 14 passes batted down, three fumble recoveries, one safety, and one interception. He has been named to the Pro Bowl three times and was an AP First-Team selection for his 2022 season, where he finished seventh in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year race.
Williams was just as big of a force during his collegiate career as he has been in the NFL. During his breakout season in 2018, Williams totaled 71 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and one pass breakup. He finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy race and was named a Unanimous All-American. He also won the 2018 John Outland Trophy.
