Alabama Sophomore WR Not Expected to Play vs ULM
The Alabama Crimson Tide is set to host the ULM Warhawks this evening at 6:45 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Tide's first home game of the 2025 season. However, Alabama will have to get its first win without one of its star players on offense.

According to Chris Low of On3 Sports, star sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams is NOT expected to play today against the Warhawks after leaving last week's 31-17 loss to Florida State with a concussion late in the fourth quarter. Head coach Kalen DeBoer said that Williams was "coming along day-to-day" during his Wednesday appearance on the SEC coaches teleconference.
Williams was the Tide's second leading receiver in the loss to Florida State, hauling in five receptions for 30 yards before he departed in the fourth quarter with a concussion.
Last year, Williams burst onto the scene as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide, catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns in his debut season.
Alabama still has depth at receiver despite Williams missing his first game in an Alabama uniform. Germie Bernard and Isaiah Horton are expected to start for the Tide against ULM, while Rico Scott could get the call-up after catching a touchdown last weekend.
Other receivers could step up as well, with Jalen Hale, Cole Adams, Lotzeir Brooks, Derek Meadows, and Jaylen Mbakwe all looking for their first catch of the season.
Alabama will kick off against ULM at 6:45 p.m. CT
