Ryqueze McElderry Signs With the Crimson Tide
Ryqueze McElderry has officially signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide football team on Wednesday. The 4-star offensive linemen is part of the 2023 recruiting class from Anniston, AL. McElderry committed to the Crimson Tide this past July.
The 6-foot-3, 340 pound linemen had offers from multiple SEC schools including Auburn, Tennessee, Florida State, and Georgia. McElderry originally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs last December. However, he decommitted from the Bulldogs and committed to the Tide after a visit on January 22 thanks to his primary recruiters Holmon Wiggins and Eric Wolford.
According to 247Sports, the Anniston, Ala. native is the No. 39 ranked interior offensive linemen nationally and the No. 21 player in the state of Alabama.
“I am going to put it like this,” McElderry said to Touchdown Alabama. “Ever since I committed, opportunities have opened up, internal offensive line-wise. I look at it as a great opportunity for me. I am coming in to work my butt off and make and impact. I want to have an impact on the team, and I told coach Saban and coach Wolf that. I want to be a vocal leader.”
McElderry described his offer and commitment to his childhood favorite team as a "dream come true," according to 247Sports.
