Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided the latest injury updates for the Crimson Tide on Sunday evening, during the SEC Championship teleconference. The Crimson Tide has been banged up this season, with several key contributors missing significant time. Alabama also lost valuable reserve reps for the season when Jeremiah Beaman suffered a season-ending injury in week two, and Jah-Marien Latham suffered a season-ending injury in week five.

The Crimson Tide has been without starting tight end Josh Cuevas for two weeks now after Cuevas suffered a lower-body injury during practice, leading up to Alabama's 56-0 win over Eastern Illinois. Cuevas missed that game and missed yesterday's 27-20 victory over the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl.

“I would expect Josh to probably not be with us for the weekend,” DeBoer said on the teleconference. “Still don’t have much more information on Jam. He’ll continue to go through his testing early this week, here today and tomorrow.”

Cuevas, a redshirt senior from Los Angeles, California, has caught 30 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns as the Tide's starting tight end this season. Behind him, freshman Kalen Edwards has stepped up at times for Alabama, with eight receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Starting running back Jam Miller has missed significant time this season, missing the first three games of the year with a dislocated collarbone suffered during Alabama's second fall scrimmage. Miller also suffered a concussion in Alabama's 27-24 victory over the Missouri Tigers, and departed last night's game against Auburn early after being rolled up on during the second half. Despite missing time with injuries, Miller is still the Tide's leading rusher on the season with 493 yards and three touchdowns. He's also had 18 receptions for 108 yards on the season.

Behind Miller, Alabama will rely on Daniel Hill and AK Dear, who have combined for 347 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

Alabama will face Georgia in the SEC Championship game this Saturday, December 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET.
