SEC Standings – Week 13
The SEC saw a shakeup again this weekend thanks to a couple of upsets and big wins. We are just three weeks away from the SEC Championship, so who is preparing for a trip to Atlanta, Georgia the first weekend of December?
1 - Texas Longhorns (9-1, 5-1)
The Texas Longhorns handled their business on Saturday in a 20-10 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. If Texas wins out, they will go to the SEC Championship. The Longhorns will host the Kentucky Wildcats on November 23.
2 - Texas A&M Aggies (8-2, 5-1)
The Aggies handled the New Mexico State Aggies on Saturday in a 38-3 win. Texas A&M will hit the road for the final time this season to take on the Auburn Tigers on November 23. If Texas A&M wins out, the Aggies will make the SEC Championship game.
3 - Georgia Bulldogs (8-2, 6-2)
The Georgia Bulldogs returned to form in a 31-17 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers last Saturday. Georgia has finished SEC play with a 6-2 record and will host UMass on November 23. Georgia needs Alabama to lose one more game or Missouri to lose out to make the SEC Championship game.
4 - Tennessee Volunteers (8-2, 5-2)
The Tennessee Volunteers fell to the Georgia Bulldogs 31-17 last Saturday. Tennessee will host UTep for their final home game of the regular season on November 23. Tennessee does not have a path to the SEC Championship.
5 - Alabama Crimson Tide (8-2, 4-2)
The Alabama Crimson Tide smoked the Mercer Bears 52-7 last Saturday. Alabama will travel to Norman, Oklahoma for the final road trip of the regular season on November 23. Alabama needs to win out and Missouri needs to win one more game for the Crimson Tide to make the SEC Championship game.
6 - Ole Miss Rebels (8-2, 4-2)
Ole Miss was on a bye week to continue celebrating a 28-10 win over Georgia on November 9. The Rebels will return to action this week for a game in Gainesville, Florida for a game against the Gators on November 23. Ole Miss needs to win out, Texas A&M to lose to Auburn, Alabama to lose one more game, and Tennessee to lose to Vanderbilt to make the SEC Championship game.
7 - South Carolina Gamecocks (7-3, 5-3)
The Gamecocks had an electric win over the Missouri Tigers 34-30 on Saturday. The Gamecocks will host Wofford on November 23 before a final showdown of the season with the Clemson Tigers on November 30.
8 - LSU Tigers (6-4, 3-3)
The LSU Tigers suffered a stunning loss to the Florida Gators, 27-16. LSU will return home to host the Vanderbilt Commodores on November 23.
9 - Missouri Tigers (7-3, 3-3)
The Missouri Tigers suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the South Carolina Gamecocks, 34-30 last Saturday. The Tigers will travel to Starkville, Mississippi for a date with the Bulldogs on November 23. If Missouri wins one of their final two games, Alabama will make the SEC Championship game.
10 - Vanderbilt Commodores (6-4, 3-3)
Vanderbilt was on a bye week during the November 16 slate of games. The Commodores will return to action on November 23, traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a date with the LSU Tigers.
11 - Arkansas Razorbacks (5-5, 3-4)
The Razorbacks fell to the Texas Longhorns 20-10 at home last weekend. The Razorbacks The Razorbacks will host Louisiana Tech in the final non-conference matchup of the season on November 23.
12 - Florida Gators (5-5, 3-4)
The Florida Gators found their groove in a 27-16 victory over the LSU Tigers on Saturday night. Florida is one win away from bowl eligibility, but the win will be difficult hosting the Ole Miss Rebels on November 23.
13 - Auburn Tigers (4-6, 1-5)
The Auburn Tigers finally got back in the win column with a 48-14 win over UL-Monroe on Saturday. Auburn would need to win out in order to become bowl-eligible this season. The Tigers will begin the hunt by hosting Texas A&M on November 23.
14 - Oklahoma Sooners (5-5, 1-5)
The Oklahoma Sooners were on a bye week on November 16 following a heartbreaking loss to the Missouri Tigers. Oklahoma will host Alabama on November 23.
15 - Kentucky Wildcats (4-6, 1-6)
The Kentucky Wildcats trounced Murray State 48-6 on November 16. The Wildcats will return to SEC play on November 23, traveling to Austin, Texas for a date with the Longhorns in their final SEC game this season.
16 - Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-8, 0-6)
Mississippi State was on a bye week on November 16, getting two weeks to prepare for the Missouri Tigers, who travel to Starkville on November 23.
If the season ended today, the Texas Longhorns would play the Texas A&M Aggies in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, Georgia on December 7.
