Ty Simpson is “Very, Very Excited” About Future of Alabama’s Offense
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is in Thibodeaux, Louisiana, this weekend at the Manning Passing Academy. Simpson is in a quarterback battle in Tuscaloosa after spending three years sitting on the bench behind Heisman winner Bryce Young and dynamic playmaker Jalen Milroe. Simpson now appears to be the next man up in the Alabama quarterback room as he prepares to enter his fourth year in Tuscaloosa.

On Friday, Simpson spoke to the media in Thibodeaux. After sitting behind great playmakers in Tuscaloosa, Simpson believes it's his turn to take over as the Tide's starting signal caller.
"I feel like I'm gonna be tough, gonna be accurate, I'm gonna make sure that we give our offense the best chance to win in any situation. I feel like I've waited my turn, and I've learned a lot from those guys, and I understand - my dad being a coach, I've got a mind for football. I'm just excited to play for the university I love, in front of the people I love, with the people I love."
What's got Simpson so excited about the Tide's offense? He echoed the same "physicality" sentiment that offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb did weeks ago.
"We're gonna be the most physical team," Simpson said, "we're the most close-knit team because we're gonna play together, we're gonna play as one. But also, we're gonna hit you in the mouth. Offensively, we're gonna be very explosive, and make guys cover every inch of the field.
"We got a great line coming back with Parker [Brailsford], Geno [VanDeMark], Kam Dewberry transferring in, [Kadyn Proctor] at the left tackle, Wilkin Formby, Olaus [Alinen] coming along, and Jaeden Roberts. Those guys are machines up there.
"And our wideouts. I mean, Ryan [Williams], you got Isaiah [Horton], Germ[ie Bernard], Rico [Scott], freshmen who nobody knows about yet, and then our running backs, man. They've done a great job, so I'm very looking forward to this team."
