For the second-straight week, Alabama softball is ranked No. 5 in the USA Today/NFCA top-25 poll and No. 7 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia State on Wednesday before sweeping then-No. 13 Georgia, its first series sweep over the Bulldogs since 2011. With three weeks of conference play remaining, Alabama is the highest-ranked SEC team in the NFCA poll, joined in the top 10 by Florida (6/9), Tennessee (8/8) and LSU (9/6). In total, 10 SEC programs are represented in both top-25 polls with Missouri and Mississippi State also receiving votes in at least one.

This weekend, Alabama heads to Gainesville, Fla., for a three-game series against sixth-ranked Florida (36-9, 9-6 SEC). Action begins with a doubleheader Friday, April 19 at 4:30 p.m. CT, with game one of the twin bill aired live on ESPN2.
