Where are the Top 2027 Recruits in the State of Alabama Committed?

The state of Alabama is no stranger to top talent in football, with legends like Julio Jones, AJ McCarron, and Bo Jackson as historic figures who played on Friday nights in the Yellowhammer state. In recent history, Ryan Coleman-Williams (then Ryan Williams), Cam Coleman, Tim Keenan III, KJ Lacey, and numerous other top prospects finished their high school careers in Alabama before heading off to become stars of the college football world.

Recruiting in the state of Alabama often comes down to the Crimson Tide and the Tigers battling over key prospects who understand the rich history of the sport in the Yellowhammer State. However, that's not the case with the 2027 recruiting cycle, as Alabama has no commits in the top 10, and only one in the top 15. Where are the top 2027 prospects going from the state of Alabama?

Ai'King Hall - Cornerback (Miami Commit)

The top player in the state is Dothan's Ai'King Hall, who is the No. 91 overall player in the class and a four-star commitment to Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes. He took one unofficial visit to Alabama in March 2026 and followed it with another to Auburn in the same month. He took only one official visit, to Miami, on the first weekend of official visits, May 29. He committed to Miami on May 17.

Isaac McNeil - Linebacker (Auburn Commit)

The Tigers get on the board with the No. 2 player in the state out of Vigor High School in Mobile, Alabama. McNeil is the No. 94 overall prospect in the class, with the state of Alabama only having two players inside the top 100 this cycle. He made visits to Alabama, USC, and Florida in March, and followed it with visits to Auburn, LSU, and Georgia Tech in April. He also took just one official visit to Auburn on May 29, committing to new head coach Alex Golesh on June 2.

JaBarrius Garror - EDGE (Texas Commit)

Garror originally committed to Alabama in 2025, but de-committed from the Crimson Tide ahead of his senior season. Despite the de-commitment, Alabama is still the school he visited the most, with 10 visits to the Capstone, including one on January 31. Since then, he's taken visits to Auburn, Georgia, Texas, and Florida State, with his four official visits being Georgia, Auburn, Texas, and Florida State. He committed to the Longhorns on June 12.

Jatori Williams - IOL (Miami Commit)

Williams is another player who was once committed to Alabama and is the No. 110 overall player in the class. After de-committing from Alabama in December, he took visits to Auburn, Kentucky, and Miami. The Central Phenix City player took two official visits, which were to Miami on June 5 and Kentucky on June 19, with his commitment to Miami coming on May 21 before his visits.

Karlos May - DL (Currently Uncommitted)

May, the No. 129 overall prospect in the class, is the only top-15 uncommitted prospect from the state of Alabama. The Ramsay, Alabama, native is viewed as an Ohio State lean right now after taking his four official visits to Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, and Ohio State. He visited Alabama once in November 2025 and made seven total visits to Auburn.

Gunner Rivers - QB (NC State Commit)

Rivers, a Fairhope, Alabama, native, is the son of former NFL QB Phillip Rivers, who coaches at St. Michael Catholic School in Fairhope. Rivers took three visits to the Wolfpack, adding two visits to Auburn. He committed to NC State in February 2026.

Donivan Moore - DL (Auburn Commit)

Moore is Auburn's second commitment inside the top 10 recruits in Alabama out of Bessemer City, Alabama. He only took two unofficial visits to Auburn and Ole Miss, with eight total visits to Auburn. He last visited Alabama in January 2026.

Jayden Aparicio-Bailey - Safety (Clemson Commit)

Aparicio-Bailey, a Prattville, Alabama, native, made numerous visits to Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia, but only took official visits to Georgia and Clemson during official visit season. He committed to Clemson on June 27 after an official visit to the Tigers on May 29.

Deshawn Hall - WR (Auburn Commit)

Auburn's third commitment in the top 10 prospects in the state of Alabama, Deshawn Hall, took a total of five visits to the Plains, including his first official visit on May 29. After official visits to Penn State and Tennessee as well, the Pratville native chose the Tigers on June 23.

Cam Prichett - DL (Oregon Commit)

The final player in the top 10 rankings for the state of Alabama is Alabaster native and Thompson Warrior Cam Pritchett, who took no official visits over the Summer. He took just one unofficial visit each to Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Oregon, and Baylor, with the Oregon Ducks getting the final visit on June 1. He committed to Oregon during his visit on June 2.

Why It Isn't Time to Panic About Alabama's In-State Recruiting

The in-state battles are necessary to win, and yet Alabama has just one top-15 prospect committed in the state, Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn. Auburn, Miami, Oklahoma, and Texas have more commits from the Yellowhammer State than the flagship program does, and yet Alabama isn't worried about the in-state battles. Alabama is smart when choosing which in-state prospects to target, valuing quality over quantity. Kalen DeBoer and Alabama's coaching staff have shown the ability to win the in-state recruiting battles with the 1016 class last season, when they landed:
