How Alabama Gymnastics, WBB Got Big SEC Wins

Alabama women's basketball forward Jasmine Walker has declared for the 2021 WNBA Draft.

Alabama would go on to take the lead late in the contest and never look back thanks in large part to our Tide 100.9 player of the game, Ariyah Copeland.

In the second half, Alabama would come out strong. Shooting an impressive 60 percent from the field, and hitting 80 percent of their free-throws.

Alabama is now 5-0 for the first time since 2016 with 3 non-conference games remaining before the SEC schedule begins on December 31st against the Missouri Tigers.

However, the Tide would begin to turn the tables from the middle of the 3rd to the end of the game. Alabama would shoot an impressive 62 percent from the field on 5-8 shooting and also hit 4-7 3-pointers to cut the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter 61-53.

Alabama would face adversity within the first minute of the game as junior guard De'Sha Benjamin went towards the basket and landed badly on the court. She would be helped off the court by medical staff and would not return to the game.

Wednesday was the first time in 265 days that the Crimson Tide took the court due to the cancellation of the SEC Tournament back on March 19th due to Covid-19.
