On Saturday the Alabama Women's Basketball team (4-0) completed a big comeback win over the Oklahoma State Cowgirls (2-1) 76-72 on the road in the Big12/SEC challenge.

Alabama would struggle in the first quarter of the game shooting just 4-16 from field goal range, and making only 1 three pointer out of 5 shots. The Tide would improve on shooting in the 2nd quarter, but only managed to shoot 5-11 from 3-point range and would trail at halftime by 10 points.

These shooting woes would lead to Oklahoma state having a 17 point lead early in the 3rd quarter of the game. In addition, Oklahoma State would hold the lead in this game for a total of 29 minutes compared to 7 minutes for Alabama.

However, the Tide would begin to turn the tables from the middle of the 3rd to the end of the game. Alabama would shoot an impressive 62 percent from the field on 5-8 shooting and also shoot 4-7 from 3-point range to cut the lead to 61-53 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Junior point-guard Hannah Barber was on fire in the 4th quarter scoring 14 straight points in the final 8 minutes of the game. Barber would finish her day 4-9 from 3, and brought the lead to within 3. Additionally, senior forward Jasmine Walker would lead the game in scoring with 24 points and get some key rebounds in the 4th quarter to help secure the comeback win for the Crimson Tide. Alabama would also shoot 17-18 on free-throws in the game, which brings them to 14th in the nation in free-throw percentage (85.6%)

Alabama head coach Kristy Curry praised her team's effort after the game in an interview with the Crimson Tide Sports Network.

"This is a huge road win for our team, and I couldn't be anymore proud," Curry said. We fought through adversity and made some adjustments in game that were disruptive. This group has a never say die attitude and I am so proud of these girls to overcome everything they did to win this game today."

Alabama moves to 4-0 this season with a matchup this Wednesday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. The Tide will host the Sam Houston State Cougars and the tip-off will be at 2 p.m. Stay tuned to Tide 100.9 for the latest updates and information throughout this season!
