It’s not clickbait. Mark my words because one day, this is going to happen. Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is a city that I have lived in, off and on, since the 80s. Oh, how I love Alabama and, in particular, my Alabama Crimson Tide.

As Alabama fans search to find viewing options for Saturday's game, The Washington Post recognized two Tuscaloosa radio stations for their continued coverage.

Alabama Coach Nick Saban often says things that get plenty of attention. In this case, it might be one of the best speeches the GOAT has given. Coach Saban even had a few words about former Crimson Tide star wideout, Henry Ruggs III. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is.

"WE WANT A POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIP" Those are the words of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, this morning on the Steve & DC Show on WFFN-FM (95.3 THE BEAR). The mayor also said "We're not going to back down."

The United States Football League. A spring league designed to give football starved fans something to eat during the offseason. The entire league is moving here. That's right. Alabama. Hosting the entire season of games. The U.S.F.L. is significant for several things in the history of modern football in America. For example, the league signed three straight Heisman Trophy winners.

Plenty of people in Alabama, especially Tuscaloosa folks, seem to think so today. In 2020, Coach Saban was being interviewed by ESPN and seemingly declared that he would never get involved in political matters. It's 2022 and it appears he changed his mind.

This is it. FINALLY. Can you feel it? Tuscaloosa feels different this week as I go place to place doing my regular weekly tasks. Nick Saban was hired in Tuscaloosa, Alabama fifteen years ago this week. What a move for the history of the Alabama Crimson Tide football program.

Donald Trump, Herschel Walker, Steve Young, Doug Flutie and Reggie White. What do they have in common? Not much, you might say. True. However, in 1983-1985 they were personalities involved in the U.S.F.L. The United States Football League. Once, a big part of the football history of Birmingham, Alabama.

All these coaches, and yes, even Nick Saban make too much money! There is no reason anyone should make this kind of money!
