Alabama soccer travels to Athens to take on Georgia Thursday

The Tide kicks off the season in August.

For the first time in program history, the Alabama soccer team has won its first-round game and will move on to face BYU in round two of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.

Merel van Dongen, a member of the women’s soccer team, will be traveling to Tokyo to play for her home country of the Netherlands.

In January, Alabama Soccer's own sophomore defender Reyna Reyes was called up to the Mexican Women's National Team after five seasons with the club.
