The Tide will once again be without ace pitcher Connor Prielipp as the team takes on Tennessee in a home series this weekend. Bama baseball is currently 1-5 in SEC play and has lost six games straight. Prielipp pitched the opening game on February 19th with a 0.00 ERA in 5 innings and has not played a single game since.
In the second game of their series against Wright State (0-3, 0-0), and the first of a Saturday doubleheader, the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team (5-1, 0-0) handily defeated the Raiders 8-7 after 11 innings. This secured a series victory for the Crimson Tide.
Alabama Baseball was off to a 16-1 start this season before the NCAA terminated the season due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Crimson Tide's successful start to the year was due to many aspects, one of those being a talented freshman class. Three Alabama freshman were named Freshman All-Americans by the College Baseball News.
