The news keeps getting worse in Knoxville.

Two days after losing their third straight game, the Tennessee Vols learned that the team's leading rusher will leave the program. Head coach Butch Jones announced Monday that Jalen Hurd informed him of his plans to transfer.

The confirmation came a few hours after the story first broke in Knoxville. The original report states that Hurd will find another school and look to change positions.

Hurd began the season as a second-team All-SEC selection but has battled injuries during his junior year. Hurd has rushed for 451 yards and three touchdowns for Tennessee through eight games in 2016.
