The SEC is one of the best conferences in the country when it comes to its athletic success; however, there is one area where the conference is lacking: music videos.

Seriously, while filling in on The Game Wednesday night, Chad Haynie and I discussed one of the most recent videos, one titled Dawg Bite (yes, it is on the list) which got me to thinking about some of the worst music videos ever made.  Of course I thought about the unique video made by Notre Dame back in the day and the hardcore music battle between Indiana and Purdue.

Then after listening to the videos being done by Georgia fans last night, I realized that the SEC was not immune from its own “unique videos.” And in fairness the Bulldog nation, it is not just Georgia fans either.

There are some good videos out there, but these are a little rough.  I’m just saying-if you are thinking about putting out a video or song just play it for your friends and family first before putting it out on the Internet.  Also, if there are any videos we missed, make sure to post them below.

Without further ado, here are the top five worst music videos in SEC History.

5. Eric Berry ft. Swiperboy

This is one of the bright spots of the Lane Kiffin era at Tennessee.  In fact, I am going to take this a step forward and say this without question,  this is the bright spot in Lane Kiffin’s tenure (if you can call it that).  I like the beat, good production value on it, but lyrically there really is only so much you can say about Eric Berry.

4.  LSU WHO? The Dawgs are coming for you

First off the production value on this video is a little weak, which on the Youtube description the group openly admits they put it together quickly. The beat on this song is a little rough, there is no swagger in a lot of the verses, but in fairness, this group did respond well the following year with their video Dawgs on Top.  However, each year these were made before the SEC Championship and each time the team lost.  Maybe its time to reevaluate that strategy.

3. Eric Berry 4 Heisman.com Video

If Eric Berry by Swiperboy was the bright spot in the Lane Kiffin era at Tennessee, this may be a close second.  The beat is catchy, playing off the free credit report song, but it is kind of annoying.  I mean, you can even tell that Eric Berry doesn't like the song-he smashes the guitar at the end of the video.

2. SEC Bound

Let me start this by saying I am from Missouri (St. Louis). You may or may not remember the basketball themed “We are Mizzou” video this crew made on the verge of finishing 23-11 in the Southeastern Conference, but it turns out this group though they would be good at football too. In this song they call out Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. To recap the results, Georgia beat them 41-20, Alabama 42-10, and Florida 14-7. Missouri is like the kid bragging about a party that no one wanted them to be at. Hopefully these guys will wait until Missouri actually does something in the SEC before dropping their next hit. Until then, these videos are kind of funny.

1 Dawg Bite

Was there any question? In fact this is the song that inspired the entire list. SEC football screams tough, gritty, and hardcore, but this video is something you would expect from a boy band. Boy band does not equal SEC football.  On the bright side, this comes nowhere close to the Thanksgiving video that was put out last fall.

Again, have a video you think should have been added? Leave it as a comment below.
