TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- Aaliyah Nye, the talented guard/forward for the Tide, had a stellar performance in the 2023-24 season. She made the 2024 Second Team All-Southeastern Conference, broke the program record for three-pointers in a single season with 108, and accumulated 1,238 career points.

Nye played a pivotal role for the Tide last season, demonstrating  her leadership and skills. She averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game, and boasted a 42% 3-point field goal percentage. Her contributions helped the Tide achieve a 23-8 record before SEC tournament play.

In the previous season, Nye shot 45% from beyond the arc, but her talents extend beyond just shooting. Along with her shooting ability, Nye's first step will have defenders failing to stay in front of her. She excels at creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates. Additionally, she proved to be a lockdown defender, averaging 1.8 steals and a half a block per game last season.

As the Tide prepares for the 2024-25 season, Nye is recognized as the nation's leading 3-point shooter for field goals made, according to PostHer Hoops. With her combination of size, skill, and athleticism, she is a valuable asset who can make an immediate impact on a WNBA team.
