This Week’s SEC Football Picks
Last week I went 5-1 because South Carolina decided to not show up defensively late. For the year I'm 10-1.
Here are this week's picks:
Mississippi State at Arkansas
Arkansas has lost a LOT of close games this year, including last week in Tuscaloosa. This week the Hogs finally win one. Arky 24, State 20.
South Carolina at Missouri
Sorry about this sounding like a broken record, but Mizzou's Brady Cook is a really good quarterback. He may be the SEC's No. 2 guy after LSU's Jaden Daniels. Cook and the dangerous Tiger receivers will handle the Gamecocks. Missouri 31, Carolina 20.
Ole Miss at Auburn
The Rebels have a poor record in Voodooville, aka Jordan-Hare Stadium. Lane Kiffin also has a dynamic offense to go against Auburn's up and down defense. Look for Jaxson Dart to quarterback the Rebs to a rare win in Lee County. Ole Miss 31, Auburn 24.
Army at LSU
I love Army. I was a broadcaster in the Army. Good morning, Bosnia! I pull for Army every week, especially against Navy. i would love to see Army upset LSU in Red Stick. I will not see it. Daniels and the 'Tiguhs roll big, 52-17.
Tennessee at Alabama
Stogie time in Tuscaloosa? That's the plan. Alabama will have its hands full against big-armed Joe Milton and the Vols strong running game, but Jalen Milroe is improving every week as is the Bama defense of coordinator Kevin Steele. The Vols have left their home state once this year. We all saw what happened in Gainesville. This will be a tight one, but in the end, the home crowd will propel Alabama to a 31-24 win. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and if you got 'em, smoke 'em.
