Alabama baseball jumps two spots to No. 22 in Baseball Americas newest poll after a series win against a very tough Stetson team. The Crimson Tide lost the opening game in the series due to the Hatters’ pitcher Nick Durgin, who had a no-hitter going into the 9th inning.

Saturday’s faceoff was another dramatic game for the Tide. The game was tied 3-3 and went 12 innings. Drew Williamson's bunt and an error by Stetson allowed William Hamiter to score the final run ending the game 4-3 Alabama. Sunday’s game ended 9-4 and 'Bama got the series win.

The Tide’s final game before SEC conference play starts will take place in Troy on Tuesday, March 16th at 6 p.m. Looking ahead to the weekend, Alabama will start an away series against No. 1 Arkansas.

According to Tuscaloosa News, Alabama pitcher Connor Prielipp, will miss the series against Arkansas due to his ongoing medical condition. In his absence, the Tide has started Tyler Ras, Dylan Smith, and Antoine Jean. Will Freeman will be this week's starting pitcher for Alabama in the mid-week game against Troy.
