Tide’s Leading Scorer Listed on Availability Report

The Alabama men's basketball team has been rattled by injuries this season, losing Latrell Wrightsell Jr. and Houston Mallette for the season due to an Achilles injury for Wrightsell and knee issues for Mallette.

Among the players who have appeared on the availability report for Alabama includes Clifford Omoruyi, Mark Sears, and Grant Nelson - who all were listed as probable when their names popped up on the report.

On Friday, the wheel of injured Alabama players landed on Mark Sears. Sears was tagged with a "probable" designation by the SEC on the Friday night availability report.

In addition to Sears, Derrion Reid was labeled as "out" for Alabama's game against Tennessee on Saturday, March 1 - the fourth straight game Reid has missed after reaggravating a lower body injury against Auburn in the Tide's 94-85 loss at home.

Reid was averaging 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists on 43.6 percent shooting from the field and 25.7 percent from three-point range on 16.3 minutes per game before missing four straight games for the Crimson Tide.

Sears is the overall leader for Alabama, averaging 19 points, three rebounds, and five assists on 41 percent shooting from the field and 35.7 percent shooting from three-point range while playing 32.2 minutes per game for the Crimson Tide.

Friday's availability report is the second time Sears has appeared on it this season.
