Tom Brady May Not be Done With Career and Could Join Dolphins
Tom Brady is widely known as the greatest quarterback and football player of all time due to his accomplishments. Last season was likely the final season for Brady as he made a video informing his fans about his retirement. However, it seems like deja vu again as sources at the NFL Combine say that Brady may not be "done after all" and "folks are saying keep an eye on Miami."
The Miami Dolphins are coming off a 9-8 season, making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had his best season yet, finishing with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions and a QB rating of 105.5. He even had a notable game in week two when he threw six touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens, becoming the first quarterback to do so since Patrick Mahomes in 2018.
Tagovailoa suffered two scary concussions throughout the season. He suffered one against Cincinnati in week three, and another against Green Bay on Christmas Day, causing him miss more than four games. He has been one of the most accurate quarterbacks for the Dolphins of all time, however, his injuries could leave his career in jeopardy.
The Miami Dolphins would be a great fit for Brady because of the offensive weapons they boast. Head coach Mike McDaniel could also provide him with a boost with his experience as offensive coordinator.
The Dolphins have been wanting Brady for quite a while. They even lost their 2023 first round draft pick for "tampering" with Brady and even former Saints head coach Sean Payton to join them. This could be the Dolphins chance to legally sign Brady to a one-year contract this year. Tagovailoa would have to step up his game this offseason and compete with Brady if he comes out of retirement again and signs with Miami.
