Labaron Philon, the No. 1 class of 2024 basketball player in the state of Alabama, has decommitted from Auburn, per Joe Tipton.

Philon was one of the top scoring players in America last season. The 6'4", 177 pound point guard scored 34.7 points per game last season and was the 7A AHSAA player of the year as a sophomore.

Philon is rated by 247 Sports as the No. 5 point guard in the country, and the No. 37 prospect overall.

Philon had been offered previously by Alabama. However, his primary recruiter was Antoine Pettway, who has departed to lead Kennesaw State's program.
