The president previously planned to be in Tuscaloosa for the Crimson Tide's matchup with the Bulldogs, marking his third visit to Bryant-Denny Stadium and his third visit to Tuscaloosa in the last three years. He previously attended Alabama's 2019 loss to LSU and the Tide's 2024 victory over Georgia. He also was the commencement speaker at the Spring 2025 graduation.

The report of Trump's cancelled visit contrasts with a recent message from a White House correspondent on Friday morning that the president still planned to be in Tuscaloosa, even with Hurricane Isaias bearing down on the state. Trump announced the visit on Friday, October 2, at a rally at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Alabama, saying he would return to the state for No. 6 Alabama's primetime matchup with No. 2 Georgia.

Tuscaloosa Police Spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor confirmed that the Secret Service informed TPD that Trump's visit was cancelled at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Friday guidance on Hurricane Isaias has it well past Tuscaloosa by kickoff time, though, with most impact overnight and early Saturday morning. Landfall is expected Friday night before midnight.

No. 6 Alabama will host No. 2 Georgia on Saturday, October 10, inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CT on ABC.
