Tuscaloosa County got on the board first in this one, thanks to a blocked punt by the Wildcats’ special team, which was returned by County High’s sophomore Cornerback Reece Glasgow to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead with 10:30 remaining in the first quarter.

In the first half, Bryant's offense struggled to establish any rhythm, resulting in several three-and-out possessions. Fortunately for Bryant, their defense had an outstanding performance, forcing three turnovers from County High within the red zone, which included two fumbles and one turnover on downs.

Despite the Stampede's impressive defensive performance, the Wildcats managed to score again before the halftime break. This was made possible by a 35-yard rushing touchdown from Tuscaloosa County's sophomore quarterback, Corey Kimble, which was set up by the Wildcats' second blocked punt of the game that came two plays earlier.

The second half saw Tuscaloosa County add to its lead with Kimble finding junior wide receiver Aiden Guzewicz for a 70-yard touchdown to give the Wildcats a commanding 21-point lead with 3:33 left in the third quarter.

Bryant responded with its first score of the ball game when the Stampede’s senior quarterback Tony Felton Jr. connected with sophomore wide receiver Abram Hood for a 30-yard touchdown to cut the Wildcats’ lead down to 14 points with 10:09 left in regulation.

Tuscaloosa County's offense responded with a lengthy drive that consumed more than four minutes off the clock. The 75-yard drive concluded with a one-yard quarterback sneak by Kimble, marking his third touchdown of the game. This score gave the Wildcats a commanding 21-point lead with 5:48 left in the contest.

Kimble's touchdown would be the final score of the game, as Bryant subsequently turned the ball over on downs inside the Wildcats' ten-yard line. This turnover allowed County High to retain possession and ultimately run out the clock, securing the Wildcats' first win of the season.

Tuscaloosa County will finish the season for the second consecutive season with a 1-9 record, while Paul W. Bryant drops to 0-10 on the season, giving the Stampede its first winless season since 2013.
