The Miami Dolphins had a rough 2022 season with the injury of Tua Tagovailoa's back in Week 4 that had an obvious impact on the season. The former Alabama quarterback did make a quick return to the field in late October, but got injured again later in the season, leading to Tagovailoa missing the NFL Playoffs.

The absense of Tagovailoa in the playoffs was certainly noticed after the Dolphins were eliminated by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. While there was hope that Tagovailoa would recover in time to play in the event that the Dolphins advanced, that hope is now gone.

While Tagovailoa unfortunately was unable see the field for the playoffs, former Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle did.

Waddle's playoff performance started with a trip to the medical tent after an attempt to catch a deep pass resulted in a shoulder injury. While Waddle did return in the second quarter, he could not deliver his best performance, only catching three-of-seven targets for 44 yards and 0 touchdowns.

While the Dolphins's last game came to an unfortunate end, Waddle finished an otherwise stellar 2022 season with 75 receptions for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns while Tagovailoa finished with 3,548 passing yards for 25 touchdowns.
