Alabama is in the midst of a quarterback battle, but that won't stop Ty Simpson from showcasing his abilities as a passer this summer.

According to Brody Smoot of Touchdown Alabama, Simpson will join other prominent quarterbacks in Thibodaux, Louisiana for the Manning Passing Academy in June.

The Manning Passing Academy prides itself as the premier offensive skills camp for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. The camp will run from June 26 to June 29 this year.

Simpson is likely one of several prominent quarterbacks to attend the camp this season. In 2024, several stars from the SEC traveled to Louisiana for the prestigious academy, hosted by Peyton, Eli, and Archie Manning. Carson Beck, Jaxson Dart, Quinn Ewers, Garrett Nussmeier, and Jalen Milroe were just some of the names who attended the camp.

While the full list of attendees has not been released for 2025, we know Simpson will be in attendance while competing for the starting quarterback job at Alabama. Simpson is currently competing with Austin Mack and Keelonn Russell to be the starting signal caller.

Over three seasons at Alabama, Ty Simpson has passed for 381 yards. He has yet to throw a touchdown in college. Additionally, Simpson has rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns in reserve snaps for Alabama.
