Ty Simpson Says He Will do Everything Possible to Win
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson doesn't have the guarantee of the starting job at Alabama, but the Crimson Tide signal-caller had a message that he wanted Alabama fans to hear.

"When I get on the field, Alabama fans should know I'm going to do everything it takes to win," Simpson said in a video posted by his dad, Jason Simpson, on social media.
"I'm going to make sure I'm the toughest guy on the field. I'm going to make sure I win. I'm going to make sure I know everything that's coming. I'm going to get the guys around me the ball."
Simpson is the most likely candidate to be the next starting quarterback at Alabama following Jalen Milroe's decision to leave for the NFL. Competing with Simpson is redshirt sophomore Austin Mack and true freshman Keelon Russell.
Simpson is entering his fourth season at Alabama, sitting behind Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young in 2022 before competing with Jalen Milroe and Tyler Buchner for the starting quarterback job in 2023. Simpson has been the backup quarterback to Jalen Milroe since the start of the 2023 season.
The coaching staff has said three times since the conclusion of spring practice that if they had to play a game that day, Ty Simpson would be the starting quarterback. Simpson will have 15 practices of Fall Camp to cement his status as the starting quarterback before the Crimson Tide faces the Florida State Seminoles on August 30 in Tallahassee, Florida.
"I think my journey has been like no other, to say the least," Simpson continued. "I came here with dreams and aspirations of going to the NFL and leaving a legacy. I feel like I can still do that."
