The Crimson Tide ended its regular season on Saturday with a 28-14 victory over the Auburn Tigers, cementing a 9-3 regular season finish in the first year under Kalen DeBoer. Alabama is currently on the outside looking in regarding the College Football Playoffs, but the Crimson Tide has a chance to make the expanded playoff field.

We will see where Alabama lands in the playoffs on Tuesday, December 3, when the next playoff rankings are revealed. Then, Alabama is hoping for some help in the ACC Championship game to solidify a spot in the 12-team playoff field.

On Monday, Alabama captain and offensive lineman Tyler Booker made his weekly appearance on The Next Round, advocating for the Crimson Tide's playoff hopes.

"If you turn on the film and feel Alabama is not one of the best 12 teams in the country, I don't know what you would define as the 12 best teams in the country," Booker said. "The schedule that we played, the talent that we have on the team, I definitely think we are one of the best 12 teams in the country. Our record may not be the prettiest, but when Alabama comes to play, we are definitely one of the best 12 teams in the country."

Booker is not the only member of the Crimson Tide advocating for the CFP.

Kalen DeBoer was asked about it in the postgame following the win over Auburn.

"Everyone's aware of our schedule I don't know the exact stats, but I know we beat four top-25 teams. And I don't know how many, if anybody's, done that," DeBoer said. "When you talk about the schedule, what it is week to week, it's just a grind. Having to come back every week, the only conference that really has to do that is ours. That's what I would say. And we won five of our last six. Playing physical football, I think we have continued to excel in that area. That's what the game is all about."

Jalen Milroe talked about it on Saturday as well.

"We're a team that has won five of the last six games and showing just tremendous, tremendous grit and commitment level from everybody on the whole football team," Milroe said.

Selection Sunday is set for Noon ET, and that is where the Crimson Tide will learn its destiny for the 2024 postseason.
