VIDEO: Alabama TE Miller Forristall Response to Alabama’s Defense is Priceless
The Alabama Crimson Tide defensive unit has been the driving force to the success of Nick Saban's tenure in Tuscaloosa. For 10 years, Coach Saban has built a land of talented defensive fronts, linebackers and secondary players.
One person that gets to see how good this Alabama defense is early on is freshman tight end Miller Forristall. After two scrimmages and practice, Forristall has had an up close encounter with the Alabama defense.
When asked about how good this year's Crimson Tide defensive unit is, his facial expression and response was all we need to know.
Forristall had the reaction of someone who has experienced this defense first hand. Despite losing Jonathan Allen, Marlon Humprey, Reuben Foster, Ryan Anderson, Dalvin Thompson, Tim Williams and Eddie Jackson to the NFL, Coach Saban and defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruwitt are continuing their next man up mentality in the defensive unit.
Last season, Alabama ranked third in team sacks, second in total defense, and number one in scoring defense and rushing defense only allowing 63.9 yards per game.
This year's defensive unit has some big shoes to fill, but the talent level on each side of the defense is enough to keep Alabama among the top teams in the country in defense efficiency this season.
If Forristall reaction says anything about this Crimson Tide defense this season, other SEC teams should take notice.
