Video: RB Derrick Henry Talks About the Tennessee/Alabama Rivalry
Even though former Alabama running back and Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry now calls Tennessee his home with the Titans, but his loyalty is still where he played college football at.
Surprisingly no one has convinced the second-year running back in Nashville to change his thoughts on the Third Saturday of October because he shared his thoughts about where he sees the outcome in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
In his final game against Tennessee, Henry had 28 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns. His 14-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter followed by a fumble by Ryan Anderson sealed the Crimson Tide's 19-14 victory over the Volunteers in Tuscaloosa back in 2015. This was also the game that sealed his Heisman campaign.
In his second season with the Titans, Henry has improved from a back-up running back to DeMarco Murray last season, to gradually becoming the premier back for the Titans backfield.
Henry has rushed for 318 yards off 62 carries and two touchdown including a season-high 19 carries for 131 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Titans 36-22 victory over the Colts.
