If you've spent the past day or so trying to find glasses to view the solar eclipse and you've been unsuccessful, there's good news. You don't need them.

Sure, having certified protective wear is best, but according to The Washington Post, there are ways to view the eclipse without the sold-out glasses. The safe way to experience the event without glasses includes not actually looking at the sun but viewing a projection of the sun.

A few stores claim to possibly receive a shipment of the glasses overnight, but just in case they don't,  my daughter and I are prepared to view the projection!
