The Alabama Crimson Tide steps back on the field for day two of spring practice with the outside linebackers, offensive lineman, and the return from an injury.

On Tuesday, the topic of conversation coming out of the first spring practice in Tuscaloosa was the injury to Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

According to Nick Saban after practice, Tagovailoa was taken to Birmingham for further evaluation on his thumb. All signs are pointing in the right direction as he was back on the practice field on Thursday.

During the media viewing, he was limited on his throwing, but the fact that he's back on the field and is active is a good sign for the Crimson Tide. Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts are in the mix to become the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide as they prepare for Louisville in September.

Tagovailoa threw for 636 yards and 11 touchdowns last season including 166 yards and three touchdowns in that comeback win over the Georgia Bulldogs in the national championship game.
