The Alabama Crimson Tide erased a 17-point deficit with just under 11 minutes remaining in the second half to defeat the Auburn Tigers and claim the SEC regular season title.

Alabama's win was huge for the Tide as it gave head coach Nate Oats his second SEC championship in three years. The overtime victory makes Oats 5-3 over Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers.

The game was an emotional affair and physical battle that saw 49 fouls called and two Alabama players ejected for leaving the bench.

While the game was huge for the Crimson Tide, it may have been bigger for Auburn. The Tigers are on the NCAA Tournament bubble and a win over the Tide would have surely secured its bid.

Pearl joined the Auburn radio broadcast team after the loss and was extremely animated in expressing his displeasure for the way the game was officiated down the stretch.

The Alabama and Auburn basketball rivalry has certainly been revived in recent years as both programs are competing and recruiting on a national level.

Pearl is no stranger to post game antics after IBOB's, in 2022 in Neville Arena he celebrated the win over Alabama by mocking the "Crimson Crane" and waving a broom into the air.

It was a bit different scene in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday night. Pearl was emotionally exasperated and didn't hid his feelings on the Auburn broadcast.

The Auburn Tigers are still on the bubble and will have one more regular season contest to make an impression on the selection committee. The Tigers will host the Tennessee Vols on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m.
