Charles Bediako and Rylan Griffen Ejected in Alabama’s Win
There's nothing more exciting than a college rivalry, especially when teams get angry and heated at each other. In Alabama basketball's 90-85 overtime win against the Auburn Tigers to crown the team SEC regular season champions, tempers flared between the two teams in the second half with seven minutes and 31 seconds left.
Jahvon Quinerly, the leading scorer for the Tide with 24 points, got into a scuffle with Wendell Green, Jr. and KD Johnson. In the middle of the mayhem, much of the team left the bench due to the game going to media timeout at the start of the stoppage. Charles Bediako and Rylan Griffen ended up being ejected for crossing the half court line in the pandemonium.
After the game, however, the three were still able to celebrate with the Tide's SEC regular season championship by cutting down the nets and keeping a string. This is Alabama's twelfth conference regular season championship in program history.
The regular season for the Tide is still not over, however, as they face the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station on Saturday at 11 a.m. CST on CBS. They will also be at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville next weekend for the SEC Basketball Tournament. You can catch those games all weekend long on ESPN.
