WATCH: Nick Saban’s Postgame Press Conference After Win Over Tennessee
Alabama coach Nick Saban evaluated the Crimson Tide’s performance Saturday like many who probably saw them play did: Far from outstanding, but just good enough.
“They just found a way to win,” Saban said. “We didn’t play that great.”
Derrick Henry provided the go-ahead touchdown with 2:24 left, then linebacker Ryan Anderson forced a Tennessee fumble recovered by defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson to seal a Crimson Tide victory.
“For the most part, we did a good job, but I’m just really proud of the way our guys competed in this game and found a way to win,” Saban said during his postgame press conference. “It’s always a big win for us, no matter what the score.”
Throughout the postgame press conference, Saban answered several questions about Alabama’s late-game performance – both offensively and defensively.
He also provides injury updates on defensive back Ronnie Harrison and right tackle Dominick Jackson, and discusses the impact of center Ryan Kelly, who was limited in practice throughout the week leading up to the game due to a concussion suffered against Texas A&M.
Alabama improves to 7-1 (4-1 Southeastern Conference) win the win, while Tennessee drops to 3-4 (1-3 SEC).
