There are officially 75 days until Alabama football. In the season opener, the Crimson Tide face the Miami Hurricanes in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. The Tide are very familiar with this stadium - they have won two SEC Championships there. This game will mirror a home game for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Barrett Jones was a two-time All-American center and former team captain at Bama, where he helped guide Alabama to three BCS National Championship(2010,2012,2013). He also garnered a great deal of individual success. He won the 2011 Wuerffel Trophy, the 2011 Jacobs Blocking Trophy and the 2011 Outland Trophy (the award for the best interior lineman in college football), just to name a few.

After his playing days at Alabama were up, Jones was drafted 113th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He spent just two seasons with St. Louis before playing for the Steelers, the Bears, and the Eagles mainly as a practice squad member. He only appeared in 10 games in NFL. In 2017 he was hired by ESPN Radio as a color analyst for college football and occasionally the NFL.

Although NFL success was hard to come by, Barrett Jones will be forever remembered as a champion and one of the greatest to don an Alabama Crimson Tide jersey.
