Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Mark Sears started the contest against LSU with an uncharacteristic night, shooting 0-for-5 from the field and 0-from-2 from three-point range. It was just the second fist half this season that Mark Sears has been held scoreless.

The questions around Sears persisted in the second half, with Sears not playing for the majority of the second-half contest so far. Sears had been spotted crying on the bench, being comforted by teammates, and being talked to by coaches. The initial thought was an injury to Alabama's leading scorer this season.

However, that may not be the case. The television broadcast on SEC Network announced Sears was not injured, further bringing questions to Alabama's superstar's status on the night. In place of Mark Sears on the court is Aden Holloway, a sophomore transfer guard from Auburn who had been backing up Sears as Alabama's point guard this season.

It is almost a guarantee Alabama head coach Nate Oats will be asked about Mark Sears in the postgame, especially if there is not injury designation on Alabama's leader. As of publication, Sears has only played in 17 minutes for Alabama, and looks visibly upset on the Alabama bench.
