The LSU Tigers will likely be down a major piece on its defensive side of the ball on Saturday, when LSU travels to Tuscaloosa for a matchup with the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

According to LSU interim head coach Frank Wilson during the SEC coaches teleconference, star LSU linebacker Whit Weeks will be listed as 'doubtful' as the Tigers prepare for the Crimson Tide this week. Wilson also said, "We'll see at today's practice how he looks. So, we're hopeful, but I'm not quite sure about Whit."

The Advocate reported that Weeks has yet to practice this week and continues to wear a boot on his right foot, with Weeks missing the last two games with an ankle injury. It's the same ankle that Weeks had surgically repaired after an injury in LSU's 44-31 win in the Texas Bowl last season.

Weeks has been hindered by injury during the 2025 season, playing in only five games for the Tigers so far this year, totaling 26 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery. He was voted a First-Team All-SEC linebacker in 2024, totaling 120 tackles, four pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception.

Weeks should appear as 'doubtful' on the initial SEC availability report for Alabama and LSU, set to release at 7:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
