Alabama Starting Offensive Lineman Wilkin Formby Enters Transfer Portal
The Crimson Tide just lost a starting offensive lineman from the 2025-26 college football season, with ESPN's Pete Thamel reporting that Wilkin Formby has decided to enter the transfer portal.

Formby, a 6-foot-7, 324-pound offensive lineman from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, attended Northridge High School. He was ranked as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, the No. 172 overall prospect, the No. 15 offensive tackle, and the No. 13 player in the state of Alabama. He originally chose the Crimson Tide over the Auburn Tigers, the Oklahoma Sooners, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the Tennessee Volunteers.
Formby saw action in 27 games during his three seasons in Tuscaloosa, with 16 starts in his career. Formby started two games at right tackle for Alabama in 2024 after Elijah Pritchett started the first two games at left tackle following a pregame injury to Kadyn Proctor in the first game of the season. Formby started 14 games for the Crimson Tide in 2025, making starts at both right guard and right tackle, alongside true freshman Michael Carroll.
Formby brings 1,070 snaps over his 27 games in college, and he now leaves the Crimson Tide with 13 offensive linemen currently on the roster for the 2026 season:
